- 1 : km 0.01 - alt. 100 m - Start at the far side of Station Park car park, head up the street towards Esso Garage - D1
- 2 : km 0.3 - alt. 105 m - Turn right up the Black Bull Close and follow road out towards School and Rugby Club - D2
- 3 : km 0.95 - alt. 107 m - Turn right at the far side of Rugby club onto Old Carlisle Road - D3
- 4 : km 1.97 - alt. 99 m - keep following road up the hill sign posted Wamphray - D4
- 5 : km 2.95 - alt. 97 m - Pass drumcrieff house on your left, cross over the bridge running past toot road end, heading out towards Wamphray - D5
- 6 : km 4.25 - alt. 121 m - Keep heading up the hill - D6
- 7 : km 5.8 - alt. 97 m - Turn sharp right when you reach bottom of hill, this is the first turning on right you come across after Toot road end, there is tree right on the corner and a farm can be seen further round road you are turning onto - D7
- 8 : km 6.01 - alt. 86 m - Follow road round past the farm and cross over the metal bridge - D8
- 9 : km 6.51 - alt. 90 m - Keep following road up the hill as you pass Milton Farm - D9
- 10 : km 7.1 - alt. 97 m - Keep heading up the hill passing a few housing and going under Railway Bridge then Motorway - D10
- 11 : km 7.5 - alt. 109 m - Keep following road up the hill and round to the right - D11
- 12 : km 7.82 - alt. 107 m - As you climb up the hill passing a few houses on right heading up towards service road there is a small section of pavement/cycle path that heads off to the right - take this path - D12
- 13 : km 7.97 - alt. 102 m - Cross over the main A701 road towards cycle path that passes the back of the church at Beattock - D13
- 14 : km 8 - alt. 102 m - Turn right when you cross the road, heading down towards Beattock - D14
- 15 : km 8.71 - alt. 100 m - Turn left heading into Beattock when you reach the road that intersects cycle path - D15
- 16 : km 8.88 - alt. 102 m - Follow road round into Beattock - D16
- 17 : km 9.33 - alt. 106 m - Turn right heading up Beattock village towards Telford House - D17
- 18 : km 10.04 - alt. 102 m - Pass Telford house and follow pavement round towards Moffat under the Motorway - D18
- 19 : km 10.39 - alt. 109 m - Once passed under motorway keep following pavement heading towards Moffat - D19
- 20 : km 11.06 - alt. 109 m - Keep following pavement along road into Moffat and head back to the start point at Station park car park - D20
