- 1 : km 0.01 - alt. 102 m - Start/end point white stones at edge of Telford House road end, cross over road and follow Footpath round to left - D1
- 2 : km 0.12 - alt. 106 m - Keep following cycle path as it curves round to right - D2
- 3 : km 1.52 - alt. 100 m - Turn right into Beattock when you reach the junction with main road - D3
- 4 : km 2.12 - alt. 105 m - Follow road round to the left as you reach end of road passing the cottages on right towards the railway bridge - D4
- 5 : km 2.37 - alt. 106 m - Follow road round under the railway bridge and follow round to left !!! Do Not Go Through Caravan Park !!! - D5
- 6 : km 3.13 - alt. 101 m - Keep heading along the road passing Murray's Fencing up the hill on road up to Kirklaw - D6
- 7 : km 3.35 - alt. 108 m - Keep going straight on past Church road end up the hill, pavement ends at this point and you are on road - D7
- 8 : km 3.5 - alt. 110 m - Turn left up this road end sign post at bottom reads Kirklaw - D8
- 9 : km 3.66 - alt. 108 m - Keep following path straight on it changes terrain to grass path last part is single track - D9
- 10 : km 3.78 - alt. 106 m - Follow single track path round to left under the road sign to join up with cycle path - D10
- 11 : km 3.9 - alt. 102 m - Head straight down cycle path passing church on your left - D11
- 12 : km 4.6 - alt. 100 m - Cross the road and keep heading along cycle path, watch for cars turning at junction as view of road is blocked by trees - D12
- 13 : km 6.06 - alt. 105 m - Cross the road and head back to start point White stones at Telford house, caution required at roundabout as not everyone indicates so you don’t know which exit they are taking - D13
- S/E : km 6.15 - alt. 102 m
