For a change this morning's route started out flat northwards along the stream from Tiengen to St. Nikolaus, there over the hill into Waltershofen, from there up onto the Tuniberg Höhenweg. From there one has a good view over to the Kaiserstuhl. The route proceeds southwards offering a very good view towards the Black Forest. With regard to the glaring sun I recommend to start an hour earlier or to put on sunscreen. Passing by the steel cross, a view down to Merdingen, the patch crosses the main road between Wippertskirch and Merdingen and continues on the Southern part of the Tuniberg. I left the Höhenweg down into the Griestal to continue up on the next side foothill passing by Opfingen and returning via the horse stalls to Tiengen.
