Waypoints
- S/E : km 0 - alt. 6 m
- 1 : km 0 - alt. 6 m - From the roadside carpark, walk south along the road to Cocklawburn
- 2 : km 0.91 - alt. 18 m - Have a gander at the pillbox on the top of the hill, then take one of the tracks over to Far Skerr to have a look at the limekilns. Go down to the beach to get a better view of them.
- 3 : km 1.37 - alt. 7 m - Go back up on to the cliffs and walk along the cliffs before dropping down to Cheswick Sands.
- 4 : km 1.95 - alt. 6 m - Head southwards along the sands.
- 5 : km 4.97 - alt. 4 m - Head inland alongside the beck. Cross the sluice gate to the other side of the beck. Head across the dunes back to the beach.
- 6 : km 5.41 - alt. 3 m - Head southwards down the beach.
- 7 : km 7.41 - alt. 4 m - Move off the beach on to the trail in the dunes. Follow this southwards. It turns inland at the beck. Cross the sluice gate to the south side of the beck.
- 8 : km 8.39 - alt. 3 m - Follow an obvious track along the coast around to the Holy Island causeway.
- 9 : km 9.74 - alt. 2 m - Return on the same route used on the outward journey.
- S/E : km 19.08 - alt. 6 m
