Description

Start the plot by indicating the starting point. If you know the exact car parking situation, please explain how to park.
If we can access the starting point with public transports, please explain the lines to use and share any useful informations.

(S) From here, describe the instructions to follow from the starting point.

Add waypoints by clicking on the map.

The plot has to end by the location where the walk finishes. If it is a loop please write (S/E) at the end of the description. If it is a one way route write (E).

Waypoints

  1. S/E : km 0 - alt. 7 m
  2. 1 : km 0.03 - alt. 8 m - The first section of the walk through RSPB Valley is a little intricate. A better alternative might be to avoid this stretch and park at the Carnau carpark (see map). If you are up for the RSPB Valley challenge then... Go through the gate and follow the obvious stone track.
  3. 2 : km 0.88 - alt. 8 m - At the footpath marker, head off to the left on an obvious track.
  4. 3 : km 1.06 - alt. 8 m - Cross the footbridge and continue.
  5. 4 : km 1.12 - alt. 10 m - After climbing a small hill, turn left on a grassy track, this heads down towards the railway line and doubles back along side it. The track leads up to a railway bridge across the line. After crossing the bridge, the footpath is then obvious to the road.
  6. 5 : km 1.38 - alt. 10 m - Turn right on the road and then after a short distance, left at the junction.
  7. 6 : km 2.29 - alt. 8 m - The route from here to Tywyn Fferam is well signed with Anglesey Coastal Path signage. Just follow the signs. I've just added directions from here where the rout is maybe not so obvious.
  8. 7 : km 3.17 - alt. 5 m - Turn left on the beach and head towards Rhosneigr.
  9. 8 : km 5.08 - alt. 6 m - Look out for an Anglesey Coastal Footpath fingerpost pointing into the dunes. The route, once in the dunes, is well signed and obvious.
  10. 9 : km 6.59 - alt. 16 m - On reaching the main road through Rhosneigr, just keep following it southwards.
  11. 10 : km 8.02 - alt. 3 m - Head down the ramp on to the beach. Almost immediately follow the Anglesey Coastal Path fingerpost high up into the dunes. Drop down to the picnic area beyond.
  12. 11 : km 9.56 - alt. 6 m - Return to RSPB Valley carpark using the same route used on the outward journey.
  13. 12 : km 11.13 - alt. 4 m - Cross the footbridge and follow the Anglesey Coastal Path signs through the dunes to Tywyn Fferam. You may miss one or two of the signs; it doesn't really matter. Just head south and follow the tracks other walkers have made. Eventually you will come to the large carpark at Tywyn Fferam.
  14. S/E : km 19.35 - alt. 7 m
