  5. 4 : km 1.21 - alt. 180 m - Take the signed footpath that branches to the right.
  6. 5 : km 2 - alt. 255 m - Go straight across at the crossroads of footpaths and field hop using obvious tracks to the road.
  7. 6 : km 2.44 - alt. 226 m - Follow the road through Aston.
  8. 7 : km 3.78 - alt. 195 m - Turn off left on to tarmac road.
  9. 8 : km 3.9 - alt. 194 m - Turn off left on to signed path.
  10. 9 : km 4.34 - alt. 177 m - Turn off left. Go under railway bridge and follow the track around to the road.
  11. 10 : km 4.7 - alt. 170 m - Go straight across the road and onto the footpath that runs alongside a house.
  12. 11 : km 4.77 - alt. 173 m - At crossroads of paths, turn right and fieldhop to railway bridge.
  13. 12 : km 5.03 - alt. 181 m - Go over bridge and follow signed footpaths on the other side.

  19. 18 : km 11.04 - alt. 460 m - Follow the signed path over Rushup Edge.
  20. 19 : km 13.64 - alt. 487 m - follow the obvious stone path to the right.
  21. 20 : km 13.92 - alt. 487 m - Follow the slabs going over the moor to the summit of Brown Knoll,
  22. 21 : km 16.38 - alt. 567 m - Descend on the obvious path until reaching the fence.
  23. 22 : km 16.7 - alt. 552 m - Follow the obvious track northwards to the crossroads of footpaths.
  24. 23 : km 17.52 - alt. 533 m - At the crossroads of paths, go straight across and head uphill.
  25. 24 : km 17.94 - alt. 573 m - Branch to the right and follow the path that follows the plateau's contour.
  26. 25 : km 18.65 - alt. 598 m - There are a few paths that follow the edge of the plateau. They converge at critical points. Pick one that suits you through the Woolpacks etc.
  27. 26 : km 20.77 - alt. 589 m - Take an obvious path to the left.
  28. 27 : km 21 - alt. 569 m - Follow the plateau edge northwards.
  29. 28 : km 21.23 - alt. 581 m - Follow the clough on to the plateau (there is a vague track than runs alongside the beck) until reaching the wild camp site.
  30. E : km 21.74 - alt. 593 m
