Grindsbrook and Edale Head from Edale
Grindsbrook and Edale Head are two of the highlights of this Peak District walk from Edale. Superb walking high above Edale on the Kinder Scout Plateau provides excellent views over this part of Derbyshire. Choose a good day for this route as poor weather makes navigation tricky.
Winscar Reservoir curcuit from Dunford Bridge

The walk does have a sting in the tail as there is a lengthy ascent towards the end of the walk.
Bamford & Stanage Edges from Rod Side
This Peak District walk explores two of the gritstone edges in the eastern sector of the National Park. The walk generally follows well defined paths and tracks and offers some fine views from elevated positions along the way. After heavy rain do expect some boggy ground under foot along some sections of the route.
Broomhead Moor & Ewden Beck
This Peak District walk is another route close to the western outskirts of Sheffield. The walk explores one of the valleys that run eastwards towards the Don - in this case the Ewden Beck. The start is close to Broomhead Hall.

The Roaches are a dominant feature of the North Staffordshire landscape and this walk provides a perfect introduction to this rugged area. An integral part of the Peak District National Park, this gritstone edge has superb views over the surrounding area.
Five Dales
Experience at length the dramatic limestone scenery of five dales, including a beautiful stretch alongside the Wye and the famous Chee Dale stepping stones.
Rushup Edge & Edale from Mam Nick
This Peak District route is a classic offering some great views from Rushup Edge before dropping down to the picturesque dale above Edale. The route is rarely quiet and on good days there are usually many people enjoying this walk.
Stanage & Ughill Moor
This lengthy Peak District walk demonstrates the variation in countryside that makes Sheffield such a pleasant place from which to walk. It includes reservoirs, great views, a pretty valley and wild moorland.
Back Tor, Bradfield Moors and Reservoirs
This Peak District walk explores the moorland and resevoirs that lie between Ladybower and Bradfield. Walking is generally good but do expect some short boggy sections after heavy rain.
Ringing Roger & Edale Cross from Edale
This Peak District walk starts from Edale village and climbs onto Kinder Scout via Ringing Roger. The route provides rough moorland walking on relatively quiet paths and includes Upper Grindsbrook, Crowden Brook and Edale Cross before descending Jacob's Ladder on the return to Edale.
Fernilee Reservoir
Very easy walk with a choice of well sign-posted routes through the woods on the north side of the water. Suitable for playing Gruffalo Woods with the kids! It's not worth taking scooters as the uneven ground will undoubtedly tip them off and bikes are not allowed.
New Mills & Millennium Walkway
Experience the dramatic Torrs gorge, a section of the Peak Forest Canal, and wide views over the Sett valley.
Pilsbury Castle, Hartington & Sheen from Longnor

Beresford, Wolfscote & Biggin Dales from Hartington
This Derbyshire walk starts from the village of Hartington and explores three limestone Dales. The route follows the River Dove and also includes a section through drystone walled fields above the village.
Kinder Low and Mount Famine from Hayfield
Kinder Low and Mount Famine are combined in this Peak District walk from Hayfield. This circuit on the western edges of the Kinder Scout plateau concentrates on these interesting outliers, which despite their modest height, offer good views and pleasant walking.
Beresford Dale, Alstonefield & Wolfescote Dale from Hartington
This walk explores Beresford Dale, through which the River Dove flows, before climbing up to the village of Alstonefield from where the route descends back into Dovedale for a return along the river to the start.
Lud's Church and Roach End from Gradbach
This Peak District walk explores the quieter side of the Staffordshire Roaches visiting the rocky cleft of Lud's Church before exploring the moorland and woodland of Back Forest. The views into Cheshire are excellent. Route finding is fine provided you take care when descending from Roach End.

Bleaklow Head from Longendale
Bleaklow Head from Longendale is a Peak District walk on the wild side. Using rarely walked parts of the Bleaklow moors. This moorland and edge walk takes you to the high land of Bleaklow in the northern sector of the Peak District National Park. It is best undertaken in fine weather preferably after a dry spell. With poor visibility always a potential hazard, map reading skills and the ability to use a compass are advantageous.
Coombs Ridge, Cown Edge from Broadbottom
This area sees few walkers yet there is much of interest and grand views.
Broomhead & Howden Moors
This Peak District walk explores the moors to the east of the Derwent Valley Reservoirs. Including some quiet paths and tracks, the route also visits the popular summit of Back Tor and the monument to the Lost Lad. This valley is particularly impressive and feels quite remote - considering how close it is to the thousands of people that are circuiting around Ladybower.

Blackden Brook, Kinder, Crookstone Out Moor & Upper Ashop
This Peak District walk comes with a warning as it's not suitable for those who don't like scrambling along the side of vertical banks or who are not happy crossing streams. It is undoubtedly easier to do the walk by going up Blackden Brook - rather than coming down it - and it is easier in good, dry weather. The reward is some great views!
Bridgend Heritage Trails, Revolving in time, Bollington
A circular walk following the River Dean to Rainow and returning through farmland. The fourth of the Bridgend Heritage Trails takes you back to the Industrial Revolution with an insight into the lives of mill workers and farm labourers beyond who helped to create the landscape that surrounds Bollington today. Find out about the people who trod the ancient packhorse trails and stone slab paths which have echoed the ring of hooves and the clatter of clogs over the centuries.
Kinder Reservoir circuit
A scenic and relatively low-level walk below the gritstone edge of Kinder Scout, using permitted paths and rights-of-way to circumnavigate Kinder Reservoir.

Kettleshulme & Sponds Hill
The Cheshire sector of the Peak District National Park is often seen as uninteresting and this route goes some way to dispel this myth. The route does have a couple of lengthy steep ascents towards the end but effort is rewarded with excellent and varied landscapes. Conditions underfoot can be very wet after heavy rain so appropriate footwear is essential.

Bridgend Heritage Trails, Woods & Wildflowers, Bollington
Circular walks that explore the local countryside and bring Bollington’s past to life. This walk follows Harrop Brook through enchanting woodland before returning via an ancient Salt Trail (A). A feast for the senses in every season, look out for bluebells in spring and an abundance of wildflowers in summer. Packed with history, from battlefields to buildings, mineshafts to trade, along the way you’ll meet some intriguing characters, such as the ‘Midnight Milkman’ and the Black Prince.

Dale Top (Park Moor) from Lyme Park

This is a glorious walk in the Peak District National Park, starting on the Monsal Trail, before heading down to walk upstream along the river Wye in the limestone gorge of Chee Dale, then heading over the top of Worm Hill before heading back to the car park via the moss covered landscape of Monks Dale.

A picturesque walk with some steep climbs. Starts in Castleton and takes the limestone way through Cave Dale. The walk then works is way overland to Mam Tor and along the Great Ridge to Back Tor. From here the walk goes towards Blue John Cavern before descending via Winnat's Pass and then over the field back to Castleton. Some steep climbs most notably Mam Tor and Back Tor - also some steep and rocky terrain/descents.
Flash, Knotbury and Three Shires Head from Gradbach
A Peak District walk that includes counties - Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire. The route uses a mixture of paths, tracks and minor roads and also includes a section of the Dane Valley Way.
