The natural site of the Nez de Jaubourg and the path along its cliffs offer magnificent views of the sea, the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula and the Channel Islands. This loop offers a superb route along the cliff path and through the hedged farmland dotted with charming hamlets.

Easy hike: no significant elevation gain, just enough to enjoy some nice views.

In the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel, a hike mainly along the coastal path with an almost permanent view of the bay and the Mont. From the tip of the Grouin du Sud, the spectacle of the rising tide is superb. A loop inland allows you to visit the beautiful and moving Romanesque chapel of the Prieuré Saint-Léonard.

A tour of the land of Millet (you know... L'Angélus, Les Glaneuses, paintings of rural life in the 19th century) and Prévert. Hamlets and villages typical of the northern Cotentin region. Take theGR®223, a fairly high customs path, which allows you to discover the Cherbourg harbour, jagged cliffs, cormorants drying themselves on the islets of Hablet, the abandoned Cotentine farm, the ruins of a medieval fort and finally a bird's eye view of the small port of Le Hâble. A hike to remember!

A short hike along the sea in a protected environment and with beautiful views of the bay of Mont Saint Michel.

This walk follows theGR®223from the Port of Barfleur to the Havre de Gattemare, passing by the Gatteville Lighthouse. The return journey is partly inland, rejoining theGR®223at the Havre de Crabec and returning to the starting point.

Magnificent coastal path to discover the semaphore, the cliffs of Cap de Flamanville and the large sandy beach of Sciotot. Return via the landscaped park opposite the castle.

On the west coast of the Cotentin, from wild dunes to cultivated dunes, you will encounter a wide variety of environments in a largely unspoilt area. At the edge of the dunes, overlooking the harbour of Portbail, the trail offers magnificent views.

Between woods and the seaside, this hike requires waterproof shoes after rain (risk of mud).There is little elevation gain but a variety of terrain: a section of paved road, a coastal path and a sandy section.

After an initial section in the Cotentin countryside, the route continues across grasslands, home to salt marsh sheep, along the River Sienne and its mouth.

Starting from the port of Barneville, set off to explore the Dunes of Hatainville, an exceptional and unspoilt natural area. A short stroll around the charming port of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue. Crossing to Tatihou Island and visit to Vauban's fortifications. Although less popular than the neighbouring departments of Brittany, the English Channel offers equally wonderful landscapes that are less populated but wild and varied. If you are in the area, don't hesitate to discover this region, especially its marshes and the headlands and cliffs of the Cotentin Peninsula.

A beautiful loop passing through three of the most beautiful sites in La Hague. This beautiful route offers views of Goury and its lighthouse, Cap de la Hague with its stone walls, the superb Baie d'Ecalgrain surrounded by moors, and the cliffs of Nez des Voidries and Jobourg, offering magnificent views of the sea as far as the Channel Islands. The route continues through the bocage, dotted with pretty hamlets, and ends with a panoramic finish.

Chausey Island (more specifically La Grande Île) is a must-see for tourists visiting La Manche and the surrounding area. This route allows you to explore the island on a pleasant and comprehensive walk.The island itself is exceptionally beautiful and wild. The surrounding seascapes are also stunning. It is said that at high tide there are as many islands visible as there are weeks in the year (52) and at low tide as many as there are days in the year (365).

At the mouth of the small coastal river La Vanlée, a hike close to the sea and its vast horizons. The route alternates between passages through the dunes, the salt marshes where salt-meadow sheep graze, and the beach.

A beautiful, easy hike between the seaside and the countryside with magnificent views, particularly those of Cap du Rozel overlooking Anse de Sciotot to the north and the long beach between Surtainville and Cap de Carteret to the south.

A short, refreshing walk between grasslands and dunes, with the sea never far away.

This easy hike allows you to discover the Fosse Arthour. It is a geological fault called a cluse, which gives the landscape an exceptional appeal. This cluse forms a narrow, 70-metre-deep gorge carved into a rocky ridge and strewn with large boulders on its sides. The area is ideal for walking and climbing.

The hike is accessible to a wide range of people as there are no difficult sections.

This route offers two aspects of this commune. The first part takes you through the countryside along farm tracks, where you can admire the rich architecture dominated by the Manoir d'Imbranville and the church of Gouberville. The second part is along the coast, where numerous blockhouses punctuate the coastal path.

This hike starts in the centre of the town and circles around it, offering beautiful views from several high points scattered along the route.

Circular via the coastal path facing Saint-Vast-la-Hougue, then through the countryside overlooking the bay. Alternating between quiet country roads and shaded paths. Two imposing churches, those of Morsalines and Grenneville, take us back to the days when the bay was the scene of naval conflicts.

This charming walk combines the Cotentin countryside (hedgerows, orchards, etc.) with a little historical heritage: wayside crosses (Romanesque period), tower mills (19th century) and a covered walkway (Neolithic period). Duration: 2½ hours, no more!

Set off to explore Brévands, a picturesque little village in the Baie des Veys at the heart of the polders, rich in built and natural heritage. Walk along the dirt tracks, follow the Douve river and admire the typical buildings of the area.

Walk from Saint-Jean-le-Thomas to Cabane Vauban, along the coastal path and then back inland.

Between Sienne and Hambyotte, this route invites you to discover the Normandy countryside via numerous sunken lanes where, in the meadows that line them, Prim'Holstein cows, originally from Holland, mingle with Normande cows, the region's emblematic breed. At the end of the route, Hambye Abbey awaits you with its13th-century chapter house.

A lovely walk between the sea and the countryside along paths and small roads. You will discover the ruins of the Saint-Michel de Lestre Chapel overlooking the small Sinope valley. As you walk around the charming little port, you will pass by the floodgates.

Starting from the smallest port in France, this is a circular route without difficulty. A varied route, ranging from wild coastline to fields enclosed by low walls, a beautiful stone village and a wooded valley.

Pointe d'Agon is a magnificent protected natural area that you can explore on this route. On this site, which has been listed since 1989, you can gradually discover this exceptional area as you walk along the coastline and through the dunes covered with marram grass (perennial plants that grow in sandy soil).

Starting from Anse du Brick beach, this circular walk between the sea and the moors takes you to Cap Lévy, its fort and lighthouse, Port Pignot and Mondrée beach. The return route via the heights of Fermanville offers magnificent views of the cape, Anse du Brick and even the port of Cherbourg.

This route, marked with fun information signs along trails, gravel paths and small roads, allows you to discover the historical and natural heritage of this commune crossed by the River Saire.This route was inspired by a project by the Cotentin Permanent Centre for Environmental Initiatives.

This route around Montfarville offers two very different aspects. Thanks to a microclimate, the countryside is dotted with vegetable fields and beautiful stone houses. The route also follows the rocky coastline lined with beautiful beaches. At the start or finish, don't miss a visit to the church.

Just 3 km from the coast, this route takes us through the Normandy countryside, mainly along paths and trails.

Starting from the village of Doville, this half-day hike offers exceptional views of the mountains, marshes and Channel Islands, punctuated by passages through wooded paths and a large plateau of bare moorland populated by gorse.

A long walk through the Normandy countryside to reach the coast and the coastal path. You will pass by the Château de Flamanville, the Dolmen de la Pierre au Rey overlooking Cap de Flamanville and the beaches of Anse de Sciotot. At the top of the Roche à Coucou, you will have a beautiful view of the entire bay.

After a short walk along the sea, discover the Normandy countryside, dunes and marshes as you turn off onto small country roads. Along the way, you will encounter a few reminders of the past, as well as curious donkeys, sheep and even a small stream hidden in the greenery...

A long walk between the sea and the marshes, then through the Normandy countryside, discovering a miraculous fountain and the beautiful watermill where the Norman poet Marie Ravenel lived.

This short walk will take you around Saint Pair sur Mer, alternating between different types of paths/small roads and landscapes, including bocage, town and shopping areas, allowing you to discover the surrounding area.

Although "Belle Eau" is the name of a hamlet located at the northernmost point of this route, hikers will be amazed from the outset by the water gushing through the rocks in magnificent waterfalls. The route continues along wide paths, often bathed by runoff water from the various branches of the Cance, and ends on a high note with the panorama offered at altitude 314, famous not only for its small chapel but also for the battles that took place there in August 1944.

During this walk, you will discover Carentan, a town with architectural heritage dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.

Along the way, you will enjoy views of Mont Saint-Michel, the Vauban huts and the Lude Valley, passing through the valley of the painters, before heading back up into the countryside, passing through the marshes and the village of Kairon to arrive in the Beausoleil district of Saint-Pair.

From Herqueville to Nez de Jobourg via theGR®223and return via thePR® (yellow markings) through the hamlets.

This easy and very pleasant route along the banks of the Beuvron was suggested by the Saint-James Children's Municipal Council. It also passes close to the American military cemetery, allowing for a short extension to the walk.

The Vanlée is a short 16 km river in Normandy which, before flowing into the English Channel, irrigates a 10-hectare marsh, the Havre de la Vanlée, classified as a natural heritage site since 1988. Covered with salt meadows, grasslands and salt marshes, it is crossed by a submersible road that is covered during high tides. Some 150 species of birds have been recorded there. There are also sheep and rabbits!
