A beautiful circuit in the Gard garrigue, discovering some of its small hidden hamlets.

A short, shady walk for most of the way. You'll discover a variety of landscapes. Paths full of flowers and scents of different types of wood, freshness and proximity to the river.Ideal for groups or families. Be careful between (7) and (8), where you walk on the asphalt road.

Small circuit around Euzet, to discover the Cave or Baume des Camisards.

A lovely hike, preferably done in spring to avoid the summer heat. A fine balance between shady paths in charming oak forests and open areas mostly in vineyards. The thousand-year-old juniper tree alone is worth the trip, such is its majesty.

A circuit around Uzès, discovering the Eure valley and its source that once fed the city of Nimes, then a loop through Gardoise scrubland to return to Uzès.

This short route through the village of Saint-Chaptes in the Gard allows you to discover the rocks sculpted in open garrigue and also gives you a view over the village, its old narrow streets and its castle.

Discover Blauzac, its Roman bridge and its "capitelles", dry-stone buildings used mainly as shelters for farmers.

A nice little hike to discover Vézénobres, the medieval town, Martignargues the martyr and Saint-Étienne-de-l'Olm. Some good views, but mostly capitelles, the sources of the Mayre and the Payre, vineyards, olive trees in some places and paths under the oaks in others!

There is a lot to see in Lussan. Start with the clear waters of the narrows at the Portail des Concluses and carry on to the Pierre Plantée standing stone. You will be delighted by a breathtaking view of the Cévennes and will cross the scrubland on varied terrain to the Table des Turcs dolmen. Eventually you arrive at La Lèque, which is an ideal spot for a lunchbreak. The last few kilometres are on wide lanes, leading back to the first section of the route.

This hike will take you on paths through preserved scrubland and protected in a Natura 2000 zone. Its strong points: a village and a medieval castle overhanging fields of olive-trees and panoramas to take your breath away!

Passing through garrigue, the shade of holm oaks and vineyards, this hike will allow you to discover an old restored windmill, Gallo-Roman ruins and an XIth century Romanesque chapel with, from time to time, a breathtaking 360° panorama...Addition Moderator on 05/06/2021 : modifications on the ground since the publication of this hike. Easy hike where you can discover the Pont du Gard and its environment.

At Sernhac, south of Remoulins and Saint Bonnet du Gard, there are two tunnels that flank a small nice valley. The Perrotte and Cantarelles tunnels. Head through them to discover the chimneys by which men lowered equipment and raised the rubble during excavation. One can see traces of blows of pickaxes and holes for oil lamps. Today it is a quite popular place to find some shade and cool off for the villagers.

Hike from the village of Saint-Michel-d'Euzet that takes you on a loop around the village of La Roque-sur-Cèze (ranked among the most beautiful villages in France).The village of La Roque is perched on a rocky outcrop and is bordered by the Cèze. The area is a natural site for swimming; near the village are the Cascades de Sautadet falls.

A hike mostly through forest, under the canopy of the Bois de Lens.Throughout the walk you'll experience stunning scenery.You'll also discover the Pielles Roman quarry, Macassargues caves (which were occupied by Neanderthal man), the pre-Roman sanctuary of Mabousquet (1st century BC), the Clunisian abbey of Jouffre (3rd century) and the Castellas de Montmirat (11th century).
