The walk generally follows well defined paths and tracks and offers some fine views from elevated positions along the way. After heavy rain do expect some boggy ground under foot along some sections of the route.

A picturesque walk with some steep climbs. Starts in Castleton and takes the limestone way through Cave Dale. The walk then works is way overland to Mam Tor and along the Great Ridge to Back Tor. From here the walk goes towards Blue John Cavern before descending via Winnat's Pass and then over the field back to Castleton. Some steep climbs most notably Mam Tor and Back Tor - also some steep and rocky terrain/descents.

This Peak District Walk starts from Fairholme and includes Ladybower and Derwent resevoirs, a moorland section and the dramatic Alport Castles where a large landslip was the cause of the current scenic interest.

A hill walk followed by a stroll along the reservoir makes this a worthwhile outing.

This Peak District walk from Castleton takes you south and crosses some typical limestone scenery, providing some good views across the valley to Castleton's Great Ridge. You walk through Cave Dale and are also descend through the dramatic Winnats Pass.

This Peak District walk follows a relatively low level circuit of the head of the valley offering good views of the Great Ridge. You are also able to see the large landslip on the flank of Mam Tor.

This Peak District walk comes with a warning as it's not suitable for those who don't like scrambling along the side of vertical banks or who are not happy crossing streams. It is undoubtedly easier to do the walk by going up Blackden Brook - rather than coming down it - and it is easier in good, dry weather. The reward is some great views!

This Peak District walk explores the moors to the east of the Derwent Valley Reservoirs. Including some quiet paths and tracks, the route also visits the popular summit of Back Tor and the monument to the Lost Lad. This valley is particularly impressive and feels quite remote - considering how close it is to the thousands of people that are circuiting around Ladybower.

As well as seeing the beauty of these dales you pass two historic mills (Litton Mill & Cressbrook Mill now converted to flats) which were at the forefront of Britain's Industrial Revolution.Tideswell is a bustling Peak District village with plenty of amenities and makes a perfect place to celebrate the completion of this walk.

This circular Peak District walk starts in Tideswell Dale and continues through Miller's Dale into Ravensdale. The route is an ideal introduction to this area which is popular for walkers.
