Brion (Isère) walks

Wind through the valleys between Brion and Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs, then climb up to the ridge where you will have 360° views of Mezenc, Pilat, the Plaine de la Bièvre, the Chartreuse, Belledone, and the Vercors.End by walking through Mouillasson forest to get back to your vehicle.

This route, which passes by two viewpoint indicators, offers amazing views over plaine de la Bièvre and the Vercors and the Chartreuse mountain ranges.

Easy walk on this “tooth” overlooking the Isère valley and offering an interesting view over the east foothills of Chartreuse.

A day's walk, quite lovely and varied. You start by going through the Grand Platon Forest, then going along the south-east bank of the lake with beautiful views over the lake. You change banks and go along the Feydelière and Véronnière marshes ('Marais' - protected sites). The return is via the north-west bank of the lake with beautiful views over Chartreuse and, if the weather is clear, Mont Blanc.

Very nice hike without any difficulty, with stunning views of the Pas des Voutes, Pas de la Charmate and Pas de l'Allier.

This easily accessed summit is located on a ridge between the "Vallée de la Gresse" and the Vercors plateau. It offers a breathtaking view on Belledonne, Les Rousses and a bit further Les Ecrins.

A very pleasant hike, described here snowshoe users, but also good for walks on sunny days.

In the heart of the Chartreuse mountains, the Col de Porte is a former family ski resort whose ski lifts are now closed. The paths are more or less well marked allowing you to enjoy the trails on cross-country skis or snowshoes. The proposed circuit climbs through forest, coming out on a crest and offers superb views over the entire Chartreuse mountain range.

A short hike to enjoy this geological feature: a flaming fountain.

A short, easy and enjoyable stroll. You will walk alongside ponds, cross through woods on wide, pleasant paths (which can sometimes be a bit muddy...). The peaks of Pilat are visible in the distance. Thanks to Marc for this walk!

Petit Som and Grand Som from Gîte à Rucher de la Ruchère.

An easy walk in the village of Estrablin which, over the course of two hours, offers large open views over the surrounding hills and mountains. We mainly take small peaceful tarmacked country lanes, which means you can enjoy a walking excursion even after heavy rainfall and when the paths are almost impassable.

A hike that visits one of the 7 Wonders of Dauphiné.

A vertiginous and rarely-taken loop, where you come across ibexes and chamois at every hairpin bend. Make sure you always have a helmet (ibexes love to send stones flying), as well as crampons and an ice axe until late in the season, as névés remain in place fairly long within the steep Serre-Brion couloir. It is best to start your hike early in the morning so that snow is still hard when reaching this couloir.

The Mont Grêle lookout point and Archelle’s summit.Mont Grêle is a peak that is visible from the valley of Chambéry and the Aiguebelette region.It is easily spotted thanks to or because of the pylons that are installed at the top. Up close, these towers have still look great, but they do not alone justify the purpose of the tour, which is interesting because it offers views over Lake Aiguebelette and Chartreuse.

A hike that almost exclusively uses small roads without traffic, providing a route where the paths are not an option.We start in Vienne and experience its panoramic views of Notre-Dame de Pipet and the Vienne hills with beautiful views of the Rhône Valley and the Pilat massif at the bottom.The return journey takes you through the homes on the Vienne heights while maintaining good views of the Viennoise hills.

This is a nice walk which mostly consists of walking around the town through beautiful forests and fields.This route is a nice alternative to avoid any slippery and muddy parts when it has rained a lot.It also passes through a historical cemetery and church where you can stop for a lunch break.

This is a hike that starts with a ferry crossing.The objective is to take the two elegant bridges.The first bridge crosses the Drac.The second bridge crosses the Ebron.Satisfactory markings.
