After leaving South Wingfield, on the night of the 9th June 1817, the rebels passed through the Fritchley area, visiting farms to demand weapons and men as they marched towards Nottingham. A short walk in a rural area close to Sheffield along footpaths. Reasonably signposted but care is needed to keep on track. Apt to be muddy. Sheep, horses and sometimes cattle are likely to be encountered.

A circular walk around Middleton Top area. The 360° view offered by Harboro' Rocks over Carsington Water reservoir is incredible. It is also an opportunity to have a closer look at the windmills.

This valley is particularly impressive and feels quite remote - considering how close it is to the thousands of people that are circuiting around Ladybower.
