Cholsey to Goring Railway Station
A varied walk. Some gentle hills at first with good views across the open countryside. The second half of the walk is along the Thames Path. Some boggy sections to be avoided. There are no stiles but one awkward footbridge to cross.
Cholsey Circular via Aston
A level walk with no stiles to climb on mostly good paths. The route goes past Agatha Christie’s grave and into the twin villages of Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe.

A short easy walk along the Thames on the outward leg.

The Ridgeway the other way. The National Trail from North-East to South-West. The fourth stage is a broad track for a considerable distance, mostly with a natural surface and few hedges. Here the sky dominates but it can be particularly exposed in wet, cold or hot weather.

This circular walk is stile free. There is a steepening climb to the top of Streatley Hill and a steep descent from Lardon Chase.
Goring – Great Chalk Wood Circular
A scenic walk with far-reaching views over the Thames Valley. Two short, steep climbs and a longer one, less steep to the top of the escarpment. The path in the wood may be muddy in places.

A fairly short walk with a steady climb to start and a shorter steeper climb towards the end.
