Park in the car park on the banks of the Cher, below the D83 bridge in the hamlet of Chandon.
(S/E) Head to the old port on the banks of the Cher and take a look at the information boards detailing the history of the port.
Join the small road Rue des Mariniers and turn left onto it. Continue almost in a straight line until you reach the Manoir de la Boissière.
(1) Cross the archaeological site, taking Rue de l’Aqueduc opposite, and head towards the junction with the Sentier de la Vigneraie.
(2) Turn right here, walking alongside a vineyard. After a short climb, you’ll reach a crossroads with a cross; continue straight ahead and you’ll then reach the junction with the D976.
(3) Cross the road with great care as it is dangerous. Take the D45 straight ahead and to your left, again with caution. Leave it a few metres further on and turn left onto the path. Walk through the hamlet of Gâtinelle. At the last houses, you will come to a crossroads.
(4) Take the path on the right; at the sewage treatment plant, turn left onto Rue des Vignes; at the next junction, turn right onto Rue de la Gangnerie. Note: from this street to the Ferme de la Chamoisière, the route is in an urban area; make sure you stay on the pavements. Walk past the town hall, then turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine to reach the Ferme de la Chamoisière.
(5) Continue straight on and cross the fields. At the T-junction, veer right to reach the Croix de Marloup a few metres further on.
(6) Cross the road and head straight ahead, continuing across the fields. Cross the D83 to rejoin the D976.
(7) Cross it with great care and take the path almost directly opposite. Continue along this path and, following a circular route across the Taille des Bournais plain, join theGR®®41.
(8) Turn left onto it and follow the red and white markings to the harbour car park (S/E).
