This walk uses quiet country lanes with open vistas across agricultural fields to arrive at river glen by Surfleet Bank and the sea lock. Follows Macmillan Way through golf course and delightful river Glen. passing under the A16 and continues along river to crosses over river to return to village hall.

Nice walk for when it is poor underfoot. Starting at great pub "Riverside Hotel", following River Glen by Spalding Golf course, crossing river at the lock to sea. Returns down quiet lanes to Surfleet.

The route to Surfleet church is on quiet country roads. The return is mainly following the river Glen along the Macmillan Way, finally returning back via urban road.

Moulton Marsh and The Welland from Fosdyke Bridge

This is because Chambers Farm Wood has several self-guided, waymarked routes that can be used to vary my preferred route described below. Part of the walk follows quiet country lanes and traverses typical Lincolnshire countryside.

Matmore Gate to Springfields via Coronation Channel Spalding

This easy short walk along the Coronation Channel has many water birds to observe, Crested Grebe, Ducks, Swans, Herons sometimes Cormorants. Springfields is a major shopping outlet has all the facilities, coffee shops and lovely gardens to take a short break.
Coronation Channel was created in 1953 following major flooding of Spalding following heavy rains rising River Welland coupled with a very high tide, so this relief channel was dug.
In the Footsteps of Roman Legions

This walk links the villages of Fulletby, Tetford and Belchford and the hamlet of Salmonby. It is a walk with great variety - woods, fields, lakes and fine views.
The route takes in a section of the Viking Way long distance footpath and, for a while, follows the course of a Roman Road.

This walk starts in Belchford, nestling in the Wolds, and goes to the attractive hilltop village of Fulletby. Following part of the Viking Way, you walk through an old meadow and on a clear day enjoy distant views of Lincoln Cathedral.

In the Shadow of Juicetrump

This walk links the quiet villages of Belchford and Scamblesby in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Enjoy grassy paths, a stream and some fine hilltop views. There are numerous springs nearby which first attracted Neolithic settlers to the area. Two streams converge here to form the source of the River Waring, which flows to Horncastle to join the River Bain.
