Start in Scothern, sniff the air and follow the footpath onto Craypool Lane. Continue to follow it to some woods, walk around these, and look for goats. Get to the main road, turn left and walk on the footpath to the George.
From there, walk back, go around Sudbrooke Park and turn right at Scothern Lane to go back to the start.
A walk through woods from Scothern to The George at Langworth. Have a pint or two and maybe sample some food, and then walk back past the scout camp, into the woods and follow the path, have a look for crows and then turn right uphill into scothern.

Other walks in the area
Branston, Washingborough Top, and along Folly lane
The route initially follows a part of a long-distance walk, The Steeples and Spires, a route across Lincolnshire. From Branston, heading towards a neighbouring village. The route then crosses farm fields and tracks to meet the main road to Lincoln, from Branston. Crossing it and then again following farm access lanes, before returning to Branston.
Branston, Historic Past and Farming
Branston, a small town on the outskirts of Lincoln. This short circular walk takes in some of the many historic events and people. Also, walking out toward farmland, with the large, relatively flat, open fields. Along Hall Lane, views of the old manor house, now a hotel, Branston Hall.
Swanpool and Forest Park Circular
A round trip of 4 miles for locals, with occasional views of Lincoln Cathedral and Ellis Mill.
Around Bardney, including King's Hill
A walk starting in Bardney near the war memorial, then following the Viking Way out of Bardney for a couple of miles before heading back to Scotgrove Wood and then up King's Hill before heading back into Bardney and finishing where you began.
Chambers Farm Wood to Minting (return via Gautby)
This Lincolnshire walk is somewhat different in that walkers can do some route finding for themselves. This is because Chambers Farm Wood has several self-guided, waymarked routes that can be used to vary my preferred route described below. Part of the walk follows quiet country lanes and traverses typical Lincolnshire countryside.
From Cricket Fields to Green Lanes via Mill Lane
This walk starts from Market Rasen heading for Middle Rasen. Mainly along roads, bridleways and quiet lanes. Lovely views of the Lincolnshire Wolds can be seen on this walk.

In the Woods
This walk starts from Market Rasen and heads through fields and woodlands towards Willingham Woods, returning along a road. On a clear day, the views of the Lincolnshire Wolds are impressive and you may be able to see the Claxby Radar Tower on the horizon.
