Start: River Gelt Car Park, Low Geltbridge Farm, Brampton (CA8 1SZ), Free. Grid ref. NY 519 591
(S/E) Exit the little car park and go left to cross the bridge and take left on the road towards Heidelberg Materials Aggregates. After a couple of meters take left on the footpath.
(1) Continue on the path going towards Heidelberg Materials Aggregates by following the signs. At the entrance of the factory cross the road to take the little footpath that by pass the factory ground. You should have a fence on your right hand side. Continue straight on this path (with the forest on your left and the fence on your right) until reaching an intersection of paths.
(2) Continue straight following the direction of Tow Top. Continue straight until reaching the road.
(3) At the road turn left, and continue walking on the road until reaching a little hamlet with a bridge crossing the river and a gorgeous big bridge with the train line above.
(4) Cross the bridge with the river below, then take directly left to enter Gelt Wood. Continue walking on the main path with the river on the left hand side. Some paths might be closed due to storm damage, keep following the forestry signs. Continue until seeing an intersection of paths.
(5) Take left towards Low Gelt. Continue straight walking through the forest until reaching the car park (S/E)
