A walk from Wiltshire's highest point and through the villages of Tollard Royal and Berwick St James

A gentle exploratory ramble along nearby footpaths with pleasant views. Nothing onerous.

The walk follows the Corton Ridge and offers great views across the Somerset Levels and the Dorset Hills. It has great historic significance as Cadbury Castle is reputed to be Camelot King Arthur's Castle. You also cross the ancient medieval village of Whitcombe. It's an up and downer and can be boggy in wet weather. As an incentive there are two great pubs you can call in at!

A thoroughly pleasant and not very arduous walk from Evercreech to Chesterblade, then to Batcombe and back along the River Alham. There are quite a few hills but none of them are very long and the total ascent of the walk is surprisingly modest.

A circular walk from Frome to Whatley, then to Nunney along Nunney Combe and back to Frome via Critchill Farm.It features the eastern end of the East Mendip Way.

This circular walk with ascents and descents explores the famous Cheddar Gorge in the Mendip Hills with great viewpoints from the cliffs!

This walk starts at Lansdown Golf Club and takes in part of The Cotswold Way and spectacular views out across the scenery. It also takes you past sites of historic interest in the Battle of Lansdown.

From Swineford Picnic Area, the route climbs up through the village of Upton Cheyney; from here it's over fields, passing Beach House, and on to Coldharbour Farm. Return is back down the valley, up the other side via the humorously named – Grandmother’s Rock Lane, then onto the less humorous - Hanging Hill, up to Lansdown. Then a short section of the Cotswold Way. On leaving the Cotswold Way the route continues downhill to the village of North Stoke to pick and back to the Swineford Car Park.

This linear Somerset walk includes typical English countryside, quiet villages, old buildings and historic churches. The route runs from Keynsham to Bath along the northern fringes of the Mendip Hills, and its proximity to both Bath and Bristol ensures that it is well served by public transport.

A hilly walk with fantastic views over Osmington Bay starting from the pretty village of Osmington. Not suitable for children as parts of the walk are along public roads with a few road crossings.

A Dorset walk that explores the pleasant landscape to the east of the pretty village of Abbotsbury. The ropute includes a section of the South West Coast path including a potion along the shores of West Fleet, the lagoon behind Chesil Beach.

A pleasant Wiltshire walk across chalk downland to the highest point in the county. The walk also includes some other interesting features typical of this area.

Easy walk with a short climb to St Catherine's Chapel, which is based on a small hill. At the top, it offers a nice 360° viewpoint.

The North Wessex Downs provides some good walking terrain and this extended route from Avebury takes you onto the downs to follow a section of the Ridgeway.

This Wiltshire walk provides a way of visiting many of the interesting World Heritage Neolithic sites around the village of Avebury including the Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and West Kennett Long Barrow.
