A Peak District Dales Walk from Tideswell

Miller's Dale & Cressbrook Dale from Tideswell Dale

This circular Peak District walk starts in Tideswell Dale and continues through Miller's Dale into Ravensdale. The route is an ideal introduction to this area which is popular for walkers.

Fernilee Reservoir
Very easy walk with a choice of well sign-posted routes through the woods on the north side of the water. Suitable for playing Gruffalo Woods with the kids! It's not worth taking scooters as the uneven ground will undoubtedly tip them off and bikes are not allowed.
Comb Reservoir Circular

Circular route initially beside Comb Reservoir before climbing gently to Blackshaw Hall before descending back to reservoir.
Fernilee Reservoir in the Goyt Valley

Monsal Trail & Ashford-in-the-Water from Lees Bottom

Mam Tor Circular

Circular route from Mam Tor along the ridge to Hollins Cross and Black Tor with a possible detour to Loose Hill. Return via Tor Side.
Old Dam & Sparrowpit from Mam Tor
A Peak District walk that includes some less walked areas of the National Park. The route uses a mixture of paths, tracks and quiet country lanes and includes walking the main ridge of Rushup Edge.
Earl Sterndale and High Wheeldon from Longnor
This route starts from the attractive North Staffordshire village of Longnor. It then crosses the Dove Valley into Derbyshire, passes through Earl Sterndale to climb High Wheeldon before re-crossing the Dove back into Staffordshire. The scenery en-route is varied with excellent views of this part of the Peak District throughout.
Pilsbury Castle, Hartington & Sheen from Longnor
A Peak District walk that explores the uppear reaches of the Dove and Manifold Valleys. The route is generally easy to navigate and uses a series of paths and tracks across the Limestone country. Refreshments are available at the start and at Hartington.

Castleton to Mam Tor inc Winnats pass
A picturesque walk with some steep climbs. Starts in Castleton and takes the limestone way through Cave Dale. The walk then works is way overland to Mam Tor and along the Great Ridge to Back Tor. From here the walk goes towards Blue John Cavern before descending via Winnat's Pass and then over the field back to Castleton. Some steep climbs most notably Mam Tor and Back Tor - also some steep and rocky terrain/descents.

Grindsbrook and Edale Head from Edale
Grindsbrook and Edale Head are two of the highlights of this Peak District walk from Edale. Superb walking high above Edale on the Kinder Scout Plateau provides excellent views over this part of Derbyshire. Choose a good day for this route as poor weather makes navigation tricky.
Rushup Edge & Crowden Tower from Edale
This Peak District walk starts from Edale and explores Rushup Edge, Brown Knoll, Edale Cross, Crowden Tower and Grindslow Knoll. The route contains many of the key features of this dramatic part of the Derbyshire Peak district and should be saved for a fine day.
Hope Cross & Ringing Roger from Edale

A Peak District walk that explores the eastern end of the Kinder plateau. Starting from Edale the route follows the slopes of Kinder to reach Hope Cross. From here the walk continues to gain height and follows a high level route for the return via Ringing Roger to Edale.
