A fairly short but interesting circular walk starting from the parking at Kildale Station. A lovey walk, starting through farmland and then a steady climb up the old railway incline to Ingleby Moor. Back along the top of Ingleby and Battersby Moors and back down to the start. (9.78 miles with 340 metres of ascent.)
England Coast Path - South Bank to Redcar (Locke Park)
Departure from Redcar and Cleveland
This section of the England Coast Path passes through the industrial areas of Middlesbrough and Redcar. Much of the steelworks is being dismantled and there is not much to see on the walk itself. The route follows the last section of the Teesdale Way (follow these signs in the absence of any for England Coast Path until you reach Coatham Marsh). The reward at the end of this walk is Locke Park.
England Coast Path - Redcar to Saltburn
Departure from Redcar and Cleveland
This rural section of the England Coast Path follows miles of sandy beaches and takes in the coastal towns of Redcar, Marske-by-the-Sea and Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The majority of the walk is along sand dunes and the top of cliffs with the final stretch being along the promenade at Saltburn.
