A Peak District Dales Walk from Tideswell

A gentle circular walk through 5 dales in the White Peak starting at Tideswell visiting Tideswell Dale, Miller's Dale, Water-cum-Jolly Dale, Cressbrook Dale and Tansley Dale. As well as seeing the beauty of these dales you pass two historic mills (Litton Mill & Cressbrook Mill now converted to flats) which were at the forefront of Britain's Industrial Revolution.
Tideswell is a bustling Peak District village with plenty of amenities and makes a perfect place to celebrate the completion of this walk.
Miller's Dale & Cressbrook Dale from Tideswell Dale

Cave Dale and Winnats Pass from Castleton

A picturesque walk with some steep climbs. Starts in Castleton and takes the limestone way through Cave Dale. The walk then works is way overland to Mam Tor and along the Great Ridge to Back Tor. From here the walk goes towards Blue John Cavern before descending via Winnat's Pass and then over the field back to Castleton. Some steep climbs most notably Mam Tor and Back Tor - also some steep and rocky terrain/descents.

This is a glorious walk in the Peak District National Park, starting on the Monsal Trail, before heading down to walk upstream along the river Wye in the limestone gorge of Chee Dale, then heading over the top of Worm Hill before heading back to the car park via the moss covered landscape of Monks Dale.

This Peak District route is a classic offering some great views from Rushup Edge before dropping down to the picturesque dale above Edale. The route is rarely quiet and on good days there are usually many people enjoying this walk.
