This medieval market town needs no introduction as the birthplace of Shakespeare (he’s buried here too) and this trail will help you discover the key sites inked to England’s most famous playwright.Follow in the footsteps of the bard himself on an easy wander to explore just about everything Shakespeare related in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This easy circular walk is a good way to discover differently the famous city of Stratford-upon-Avon walking historical streets and places. Then, you will use nice paths along the banks of the River Avon including Shakespeare's Avon Way.

Hidden Gem: A circular walk from a lovely village pub. The walk takes in the lovely rolling Cotswold fields, before a view of Foxcote Manor and a walk along the top of the Cotswold Escarpment, taking in breathtaking views North out as far as Birmingham and Coventry.Drop down to the lovely National Trust property at Hidcote for tea and cake, before a return through fields and hamlets to sit by the pub fire with a well earned pint.

This popular linear trail starts at Stratford-upon-Avon Parkway station, and follows the canal towpath to the village of Wilmcote and Mary Arden’s Farm. A gentle wander along the banks of the Stratford- upon-Avon canal as far as Wilmcote, Shakespeare’s mother’s family home.

This pretty long circular walk (but not very hard!) from Broadway uses two famous trails, Donnington and Cotswold Ways letting you discover gorgeous Cotswold villages, churches, viewpoints and monuments.

Broadway and its highest tower castle in the Cotswolds is ideally located for exploring this hilly region of the English countryside and a part of the Cotswold Way (National Trail 164km running north-to-south).In good weather, the top of Broadway Tower offers a 360° view, especially of the Welsh landscape to the west.

On this trail you’ll discover some of Warwickshire’s most glorious countryside as you meander from the ancient village of Bearley. Recorded in the Domesday Book, Bearley has links with the Shakespeare family through Mary Arden, Shakespeare’s mother. Bearley is also home to the Bearley Vineyard whose wines can be purchased at village stores, local wine merchants and local National Trust properties

A beautiful circular Cotswold walk with a few surprises.

This route around Wellesbourne area is mostly on minor roads, some gravel tracks, and steep hills. However, you will get good Views.

This delightful circular walk starts from The Throckmorton near Coughton Court a well-known National Trust property. This is walk 23 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

This circular walk combines the delights of both town and country walking. Starting in the Coughton you will enjoy riverside paths, country lanes and gentle farmland. Just over half distance you go down the attractive Alcester High Street. There is also the chance to visit Coughton Court, an interesting and attractive National Trust property. This trail starts at Wootton Wawen station, following the course of the Stratford-upon- Avon Canal over the impressive Edstone Aqueduct to Wilmcote. Explore Warwickshire’s oldest church, England’s longest iron aqueduct and enjoy some unparalleled views along the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal.
