This hike allows us to visit the old village of Savasse, nestled against the mountain, with its beautiful, well-renovated village houses. A climb through the boxwood trees leads to the telephone relay station with a 360° panorama: view of the Rhône valley, the plains of Montélimar and Valence, and the Saôu forest. The return trip is through the woods, with some very fragrant lavender fields in June.

This hike will take you on a journey of discovery through holm oaks, downy oaks, Scots pines and maples, as well as many species introduced into the Barrès Forest, such as black pines, Atlas cedars, Mediterranean firs and Douglas firs.

The Rocher de Ruas offers views of the plain and the Marsanne forest, as well as a panorama of the Grand Veymont, the Trois Becs, Couspeau and the Drôme Pre-Alps. You will then discover the Rhône valley, mostly on a path through the woods.

This hike around the Lérou plateau will enchant you with its diverse views. This route will allow you to discover various geological phenomena: basalt blocks, basalt veins, etc.

A short circular loop in the Coiron massif, an extension of the Massif Central in Ardèche, which ends with an easy climb up the Neck de Sceautres on a well-maintained and secure path. The Neck, with a diameter of approximately 200 m and a height of 133 m, is the largest basalt peak in Europe, the former chimney of a volcano that formed 8 million years ago. Placed at its summit, where you can enjoy a superb 360° panorama, the statue of the Virgin Mary dominates the village nestled at its feet.

The magnificent little village of Sceautres is nestled against the imposing basalt neck, the remains of a volcanic eruption. This immense block is the lava contained in the volcano's chimney, whose cone has disappeared due to erosion.

From the plain, the Serre de Montagut does not look particularly impressive, but once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Rhône valley, the Coiron plateau and the Alba-la-Romaine plain.

This hike will take you back in time as you pass by the Croix de Saint-Philippe, the Col de l'Épine and Mont Juliau, offering magnificent views along the way. Please note that you will be crossing parks with livestock. Be sure to close the gates behind you.

From the ancient city to the largest basalt neck in Europe, this beautiful hike takes you along a route with varied terrain: limestone plains, petrified lava blocks and the volcanic plateau of the Coiron Massif. The Sceautres neck, the jewel of the Coiron, is a basalt plug resulting from an eruption 8 million years ago. Cleared by erosion, it rises 150 metres above the valley.

This route runs along the foothills of the Coiron massif on existing but not very obvious paths. Follow the yellow markings carefully. The route passes through some beautiful basalt columns, crosses the plateau with its superb panoramic views, then descends via a rocky ridge to Roche Chérie: a remnant of the massif's significant volcanic past. A small chapel is built against the neck.

This lovely hike offers magnificent viewpoints over the Montmirail Dentelles, Mont Ventoux, the Baronnies, the Vercors, the Montagne Ardéchoise, the Coiron, the Necks of Sceautres, of Roche Chérie, of Roche, and a 360° panoramic view from the summit of Croix Juliau. The superb medieval hamlet of Roche is well worth the detour.

This long hike high up in the heart of the Marsanne forest follows the paths that young silk spinners took to work in the 19th century. At that time, there were many spinning mills in the surrounding area, located along the rivers needed for the activity, particularly near Mirmande.

Starting from Espeluche, this circuit takes you along pretty paths in the Bois de Fonbrenoux to the partly ruined castle of Rochefort-en-Valdaine, which still has its 13th-century Saint-Blaise chapel, listed as a historic monument. It then continues along the ridges, offering beautiful views of the valley.

This hike is ideal for lovers of old buildings and nature. It takes you to the heights of Allan and its old village and 12th-century castle, now in ruins. It then leads into the heart of the forest, along small paths to La Croix de Siméon, erected in honour of a monk from Aiguebelle who was a missionary in Africa. Aimed at experienced hikers, this hike also offers panoramic views of Savasse and the Montélimar plain.

This hike to the ruins of Old Allan offers panoramic views of the Rhône Valley between Donzère and Cruas. The first part of the trail alternates between wide, open woodland paths and, halfway along, you will discover the Croix Siméon. The trail then becomes narrower and more winding, remaining shaded and sheltered.

This is a very pleasant walk that quickly takes you to the Grads plateau, which overlooks Pouzin and the confluence of the Ouvèze and Rhône rivers. The path overlooking the Ouvèze valley is very pleasant but may be vertiginous for some. The ridges offer a beautiful panoramic view of the Baronnies and the Vercors. Never stray from the route, which is now very well marked.

Let yourself be carried away by the diversity of the landscapes along this hike! The route takes you along the Ruisseau de Citelles stream and follows in the footsteps of its past, with old hamlets and mills, before climbing up to the plateau covered with lavender fields.

This lovely loop along the ridges of L'Izard and Mont Laroche offers magnificent views of the Roubion valley as far as the foothills of the Vercors and the 3 Becs. Starting from the pretty village of La Touche, the route passes the castles of Rochefort-en-Valdaine, then the truffle fields of Janeston. The hike also crosses the pretty little hamlet of Moulin de Bay on the riverbank, via a succession of varied paths and trails, which are sometimes steep but only for short distances.

Discover the ruins of the Couvent des Chèvres overlooking the Rhône valley and then the hamlet of Vieux Rompon. The return trail is a pleasant walk along the cliffs above the Ouvèze with magnificent views.

A long and beautiful hike through vineyards, then along the ridges of the Berg forest, offering stunning panoramic views of the Dent de Rez, the Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux, the Baronnies, the Vercors, the Montagne Ardéchoise, and more. There are also beautiful views of the villages of Alba, Saint-Andéol de Berg, Saint-Thomé, and the Rhône Valley. To the north is the Coiron plateau with the Tour de Mirabel and Neck de Sceautres.

A short, easy and very pleasant family walk in the forest.

This is an easy hike that alternates between cool woodland and wide open trails on the plateau. You will pass through the hamlet of CÎtelles with its small chapel and waterfall, which is only accessible from above. The return journey follows the stream, where you can take a dip in places. The route crosses the river four times via small bridges or large stones. This is a very pleasant walk in summer, and the breaks by the water are very welcome.

Apart from the distance, this is an easy hike on good trails through typical Ardèche landscapes. At the summit, there are beautiful views of the Rhône and Ouvèze valleys and, at the end of the walk, you can discover the famous Jaubernie caves, which served as troglodyte dwellings for Protestants driven out of Privas during the Wars of Religion.

Starting from Pierre Plantée, this beautiful route offers magnificent panoramic views of Coiron, the Ouvèze and Mézayon valleys, Baronnies and Vercors. An interesting discovery is the site of the former Priory of Charray. Please note that some sections of the balcony trail may be uncomfortable for those prone to vertigo.
