Park in the car parks at the Val Joly resort
(S/E) From the Val Joly house, take the road leading down behind it, on the south side, and in front of the artisans’ house. The first stop is at the bottom of the descent, by the Étang du Fond d’Amour. Walk along the right-hand side of the pond. Stop no. 2 is on the left and stop no. 3 is at the end of the pond.
(1) Turn right and cross a small bridge. Immediately turn left, following the wooden barriers. Follow the path uphill for about 200 m (station no. 4). Halfway up the slope, turn right. Just before a road, head right towards a car park. Cross at the pedestrian crossings and head to car park no. 2.
Continue along the main path for 300 m, turn right, then left, and head back towards the roundabout next to the riding centre.
(2) Cross the roundabout using the pedestrian crossings and head to car park no. 2. Stop no. 5 is on the right, offering a view over the Roquettes meadows and Lac du Val Joly. Walk along the left-hand side of the car park, then enter the woods at the red and white barrier. Follow the path to the right: station no. 6 is in the meadow on the right. Head down to reach the lakeside.
(3) Turn left to reach the end of the lake and the Miroir bird observatory.
(4) Return to the previous junction.
(3) Go straight on and continue along the route near the lake’s shore. Station No. 7 is on the left as you walk up the route. Continue along the lake, passing stations No. 8 to 13 in turn. This will take you to the jetty.
(5) Turn right, passing a brasserie on your right, and arrive at a viewpoint. Turn left into a shopping street. At the end (station no. 14), turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
