Park in one of the spaces on Avenue du Président André Dulin (the spaces furthest from the sea are free).
(S/E) Then walk down to the beach and turn left. At the end of the beach, head back up the path on the left and join the Chemin du Fort de Suzac.
Then turn right and join the coastal path.
(1) At the tip of Suzac, take the path on the right to pass close to the fort and continue southwards along the coastal path.
At the end of the path, take the D25 to the right for about thirty metres, Avenue Paul Rouillet
(2) Go round the left-hand side of La Crique restaurant to reach Suzac Beach.
Cross the beach to its southern end.
(3) Then turn left onto a small path that joins the Allée des Merles. Keep left until you reach the D25.
(4) Continue right along the path running alongside Boulevard de Suzac.
(5) On the right, take the Passage du Rivaud in front of the Terrasse aux Arômes, which leads you to Les Vergnes beach. Continue south along this beach.
(6) Walk to the fishing huts and back. On your return, leave the beach via Avenue des Vergnes, rejoin the D25 and continue south on the right.
At the roundabout, take the road opposite against the flow of traffic, Rue des Lauriers. At the next junction, turn right onto Rue du Fief des Sables. Continue to the end.
(7) At Les Sables campsite, turn right onto Avenue des Nonnes and turn left at the next junction onto Boulevard de la Corniche. Turn left into Allée Notre Roche
(8) Enjoy the view and return to Boulevard de la Corniche. Follow it to the right.
(9) Continue to the right along the coast to the Régulus, Arts and Matata caves. Then head south-east, still following the coastline. You can head down near the fishing huts. Reach the Pointe de Mescher.
(10) Then head back up towards Meschers via Avenue du Port. At the church car park, turn left onto Rue Paul Massy and follow it all the way to the end.
(11) At the war memorial on Place de Verdun, turn right onto Avenue de Royan towards the veterinary surgery. Continue to the roundabout.
Go round the roundabout and continue along Rue du Château d’Eau (the street to the left of Route de Paris). Keep walking straight ahead. Pass the hamlet of Le Compin.
(12) At the next crossroads, at the hamlet known as La Maison Jaune, turn right onto Allée des Paons. At the next Fork in the road, continue to the left.
(13) At the water tank, take the path on the left before the fitness trail. At the next Fork in the road, turn left.
(14) At the crossroads that follows, turn left.
(15) When you reach the tarmac road, Allée du Phare aux Lapins, turn left, then at the T-junction, take the path on the right after the barrier: Allée de la Forêt.
(16) At the next junction, turn left off the tarmac path (go round the houses).
Continue along this path and, at the D25, turn left to return to your starting point (S/E).
when all you have to do is follow the main path to finish the hike!
