The Bewdley River and Rail Circular Trail gives you the opportunity to explore the Severn Valley by following the route of the River Severn four miles upstream from Bewdley to the hidden gem that is Upper Arley village. The return leg offers the opportunity to return to Bewdley; either under your own steam by walking back along the opposite bank of the river or by steam power utilising the historic Severn Valley Railway. This is a lovely walk with lovely views throughout, Starting from The Harbour inn. Its a relatively easy walk with only one stile, but classed here as average due to the steepish first 100yds. The walk covers about 6.5 miles in the Wyre, forest taking in Arley station, The Wyre forest, Victoria Bridge ,the Severn Valley railway, Crossing the Severn via a footbridge and Trimpley reservoir.
